The normal monthly working bee dates coincided with the Oberon Steam and Vintage Fair. On Saturday 7th. Many members gathered at the “Railway Precinct” to show the General Public what was happening at the Oberon Station. Barry Webb and Arthur Robinson had spent days mowing the lawns and using grass trimmers to level the taller grass. They also cleaned up the station. Paul MacDonald had prepared three new displays on the history of the railway which were strategically placed on the station. Under the clear blue skies of the day the whole area looked magnificent. We had a large number of members rostered to look after different areas and overall it was a great day. Win News gave us some good coverage on Tuesday following the day, with good views of the station, the miniature railway heritage carriages. Arthur Robinson also featured in a short description of his 1926 Chevrolet.
