In 2010 Oberon Tarana Heritage Railway commenced to assemble the rolling stock for its future operations on the branch line. This rolling stock is stored in the yard at Oberon Station until purpose built running sheds can be constructed. It should be noted that OTHR has a policy of not assembling a “collection” of rolling stock and all items are selected with a particular end-purpose in mind.
UPDATE: 73 Class progress – on 29th May 2010 the two 73 class locos were retrieved from Port Botany and taken to Eveleigh for temporary storage, clean-up and preparation for the haul to Tarana.
